firstly, let me tell you this is a no frills gaf, which is reflected in the price. the lonestar is a converted bungalo type house with around 10 rooms, some doubles, sharing and dorms. i was in a dorm with about 5 other folk. the hostel has a real relaxed atmosphere, the staff are great and have good local knowledge. there are cooking facilities and a nice, clean shared washroom. they put on a barbie every wednesday and it is like a big family meal (nice if you have been away from home for a while). everyone that stays here seems to stay for ages compared to other places i have been. mostly because it has a real sence of homelyness. the location is great, just next to the park and 10 min walk from the city.i would recomend it to the budget travler over some of the other more commercial options avalible.
