Compared with the other top 10 sites the facilities were pretty basic. The kitchen and dining provision was very small and would struggle to cater for peak season crowds. it was good that the site was close to town so you can grab a takeaway and a beer if you want. the site is close to woods and a stream.... After 2 nights at the Ohakune top 10 holiday park in our Campervan we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Bathrooms are 5 star and the staff are very helpful and welcoming. Great location very close to the Snow fields and the park itself backs onto a lovely fast flowing stream.

This small camper-van park is one of the best I had in New Zealand. Beautifully groomed, brand new facilities, showers etc... and with a beautiful shortcut path to the city through the forest. The management is flexible and courteous, and had no problem changing our camping spots when we asked for it.
