We were expecting a great experience at this B&B. Tricia seemed friendly in her email, but when we arrived, she put us down quite a bit. Perhaps she doesn't like Americans. We did not feel comfortable there at all but did not base our New Zealand vacation on a one night experience. We stayed in many B&Bs in New Zealand... more

After 7 weeks of travelling in Australia and New Zealand we spent a night in the multicultural village of Maketu Beach, about an hour's drive north of Rotorua.
