Piha Beachstay is a superb place to stay, even if the name is a little misguiding (it's not on the beach, but ~12min walk). Oh my god this place is stunning! It's huge! Light, airy, fantastic fire and so close to the beach too! We stayed for four days over Labour weekend, having flown in from Oz for a double birthday and the reception we received was just perfect. I can't wait to come back and i'd highly recommend this place to anyone!! Fantastic!! more

This place is absolutely awesome. The first thing I was blown away by was the kitchen...which was great! The next thing that got me was just how well fitted out the whole place is. In 10 months of travelling Piha Beachstay was the best accommodation! Close to Auckland but another world away. The open-plan home was fantastic with all the mod-cons, dvds, a fire and a great deck.
