Our second visit and just as good as we remembered. Ken and Robyn are such great hosts, and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are lovely. Last time we stayed in the Pool room, this time we were upstairs in the lovely Omahu room. both are spacious and comfortable with lovely modern bathrooms. Breakfast is a very sociable affair,... This was my second visit to Omahu Lodge, this time for the last night of my trip to New Zealand. If anything it was better han I remembered it with every possible need catered for. Robyn and Ken made me feel very welcome and had several suggestions as to where I might eat and how I could spend the last... More

Despite the fantastic reviews, I fretted a little after booking Omahu Lodge once I realized it wasn't walking distance from downtown Auckland. If I had second-guessed myself and switched reservations, we would have missed out on a great place to stay and, more importantly, the chance to spend time with the unfailingly gracious and interesting Robyn and Ken Booth. Their... More

I stayed here for my first two nights in New Zealand after having arrived from the US. I got there very early (0630 am), but the owners where expecting me and had arranged to have my room ready for an early check-in. They will do this for you if you let then know at the time of booking that this... More

Robyn and Ken made us so welcome. They were full of ideas of places to visit and views to see. Accommodation was superb, lovely big bed, immaculate furniture and bathroom. Thick white towels, bathrobes and slippers! Red and white wine and beer complimentary in the fridge. Even an adaptor in the plug socket ready for our use. Breakfast was fantastic... More

My wife and I cruised from Sydney to Auckland over the Christmas and New Year. It was a fantastic trip which lasted 15 days (Silversea). We decided to stay 5 days in Auckland, before flying home, on the 10th January 2012. Choosing a B and B can be a pretty hit and miss business. So, let me take the guesswork... More

We spent 10 nights in North New Zealand and stayed at 6 different B&Bs, all carefully selected based on well-rated reviews by TripAdvisor. My family of 4 (2 adults & 2 teenagers) rated this #1 :) Omahu Lodge is a beautiful and cosy home with luxurious touches – bath salts, pool, bathrobes, wine and beer in the fridge, premium selection... We stayed at Omahu for 3 nights in September 2011. Robyn and Ken gave us a very warm welcome and couldn't have been more helpful. Our trip hadn't got off to a great start as our lugguage had been lost en route from London, but Ken drove us to the nearest supermarket to buy some provisions to tide us over... More

We stayed with Robyn & Ken for two nights in November during a month's tour of New Zealand. The rooms are very well appointed to a high standard. Robyn & Ken are delightful hosts and were extremely helpful in suggesting improvements to our itinerary. They supplied delicious breakfasts (even catering for my gluten-free diet) with home-made preserves and excellent coffee.... More

My wife and I stayed with Robyn and Ken for 3 nights for the Rugby World Cup Final. During my business career I have been fortunate to stay in many of the best hotels the world has to offer and Omahu Lodge was right up there with the best. Small, but perfectly formed, situated in an exclusive residential area of... More
