We had a great time at Chifley suites. We booked a one-bedroon appartment but were given a 2 bedroom suite! It was really big, with 2 en-suite bedrooms and a large living room with a very well equiped kitchen. The washing machine was a blessing. Apart from the superb downtown location and wonderful clean rooms with stunning views, the icing on the cake for Chifley Suites Auckland is the extremely helpful and friendly staff that work here. Stayed at the Chifley suites in Auckland for one night on our to Australia. The location is the best thing about this hotel, right downtown near everything, including the SkyTower. Hotel location is great. However I found the front desk service clueless. Booked hotel thru Orbitz and front desk didn't have clue I was coming. Even after showing receipt from Orbitz, they still charged me for stay the day *AFTER* I left. After 2 weeks of calls to Orbitz and Chifley Suites, still no resolution. You can do better and... more
I was also extremely dissapointed that we didnt have your reservation on arrival. Our systems are all automated so this shouldnt happen. I apologise for this. Because of this issue unfortunately the payment details for your booking were not set up correctly either. Quite simply it should of been, there is no excuse and again I apologize. We stayed for 4 nights at Chiefly. The downside is that the arrangements of the suite is that they are very crammed with hardly any space to walk around in the living room! The dining table (although small) made it very hard to walk around between the kitchen and the living room. We even had to jump on the couches... more

We recently had three nights at the Chifley. The apartments are nicely appointed, but the noise from the street below on a Saturday and Sunday night is horrible. Very little sleep was had by any of my family!! more
I am very dissapointed with your review & apologies for your noisy stay. On the weekends sometimes our lower floor rooms do get noise from surronding bars/ clubs & restaurants. I stayed 3 nights in an Executive Suite, very happy. Funky modern stylish decor, with all luxury facilities. Towel warmer in bathroom, full kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, oven, sink food disposal unit, stainless steel fridge/freezer. We booked Chifley Suites last minute, after our booked accommodation was cancelled by the owner. So we went into these apartments pretty much blind....but we were very happy with what greeted us. The staff were friendly and helpful, and gave us an apartment with a great harbour view, even though we were a good few hours early for check in.... more
