We arrived in Auckland and had pre-booked a stay at the Bamber House online. We stayed 3 nights but found it was kind of expensive.

The house itself was quite neat. It's cozy feeling inside. The room was average but had a heater. It was big enough for us. Comfortable enough.

The kitchen got pretty crowded though.

It was one of the cleaner hostels we've been to. Everyday they shut the kitchen down for a full hour to clean it. There was at least one really helpful staff member, I think her name was Pearl. She answered questions about the buses and the area.

They let us store our luggage for free when we went to pick up our rental van.

It felt pretty far out of the city but we did catch a bus into downtown one day. They had free movies you could borrow but no other events going on at the hostel really.

Overall, not too bad. more
