The Copthorne is located on the harbour front but has no real views. Plenty of parking so leave the car and walk – less than ten minutes to the Sky Centre. First impressions; Staff were good. The rooms we stayed in had no views out over the ocean and I suspect none of the harbour front rooms do. No kitchen,... more

Rooms had been recently redecorated and very nice, but unfoturnately the bathrooms hadn't had the same attention given to them. The sink in the bathroom was cracked and the toilet consistantly ran. As previously commented, even with the window's closed I could hear all the noise from the street below and the TV from the room next door. Location is... more

The hotel is approximately 25 minutes from the airport and is located on the Harbour front in Auckland City Centre. The hotel's reception and lobby are very nice, formal and clean. Although the floor corridors and rooms are clean, the decor is slightly dated and could be improved. The majority of rooms overlook the harbour front and are a good... more

We did a bed and breakfast 'special' package for a night away on our own. Spent most of the night awake listening to racket of noisy vehicles and revellers in the street below. The awesome harbour view did not really make up for this. Rooms, and especially bathrooms are getting very tired, I guess the hotel is showing its age.... more

Great location, fantastic views of harbour. Comfortable, newly refurbished room. Bathroom was old fashoned but clean and functional. Would stay again. more

The rooms were nice, with comfy beds and adequate rooms and bathrooms. Great view of the water but pity no balcony. It is very old and some of the hallways are quite creepy and dingy but it is clean. Prob not the best if taking the girlfriend for a nice night out but it is comfortable and safe. more

A central hotel, easy walk to most things especially handy for shopping, the ferries and restaurants on the harbour. Rooms were OK, bathroom could do with an upgrade, but bed was comfy. A nice harbour view but partially blocked by the buildings across the street. There was no safe in the room, all valuables had to be stored at the... more

A very professional business/tourist hotel with the most magnificent harbour views and a central city location. All rooms have a harbour view. A restaurant and bar on the first floor provide worthwhile facilities, but if you want something more expensive there is any amount of restaurants and bars within a few metres. Secure car parking is available in the adjacent... more

We didn't even get as far as going to this hotel! We called the hotel in late November and booked 2 rooms (a single and double) for New Year's eve. This was confirmed in early December and we were given a reservation number. Luckily we rang them a few days before because we wanted to add a room to our... more

Arrived to check in and no one was present. Someone finally appeared, but lacked the most basic interactive skills you would want your representative to have, such as friendliness or an air of welcoming. Overall impression of the lobby would be: shabby. "Non-smoking room" clearly had been smoked in for years. If you don't smoke, then you know what it... more
