Stayed for 4 nights with husband, booked trip from sydney as a birthday surprise for him. Rooms were ok, bathroom was spacious and shower had good water pressure. Bed was a tad soft and the feather pillows were atrocious! Had to call housekeeping and ask for 2 firm pillows but the ones they delivered were worse than the feather ones!... more

Stayed with a group of 10, enjoyed a great package deal which had robes, massage and dinner included. We were all blown away by the effort staff went to with all the extras to make it a special and memorable event. Am planning another girls night away here! more

Not sure why I have had old rooms both visits, Dec 08 and Oct 09, 3rd floor. I am sure the rates I paid were not low, walk-in NZD188+ GST, parking another 30.00. Lobby / atrium is bit of a mess with the open bar and restaurant and breakfast on my first visit was terrible. Did not bother this time.... more

We had an airport booking special about $150 with parking included just for one night. Make sure you check the adress ...the airport gave us a wrong one and their brochure did not have the hotel address on it. We were on the top floor and there was no traffic noise. Just spent four nights at the Stamford. Weather was not too good on us while we were there but it was a great place to come back to after being in the wet and cold! This was a nice surprise, beautiful lobby area and very friendly and helpful staff.
