We stayed at a private twin there. The room smelled so bad when we went in. The beds were so soft with almost no support. It's a bit further from the center, but didn't mind the walk. Only 2 showers for the entire floor. Not recommended.

I paid 150 for 5 nights for a double bedroom. It was good enough for the price I paid. Stayed here for 1 night as a couple on two separate occasions, paid for a dorm room and we were upgraded to or own twin room both times! Room's were basic, but clean with decent bedding. I stayed here 4 nights in a big single room, the price was really cheap considering that it was summer and the hostel is in a good location (just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Queen Street and 15-20 min. walk from the Domain, near the hospital). This hostel was ok. It was quite basic, the reception staff were helpful and facilities were average in terms of cleanliness. The hostel was based at the top of a very steep hill, so not good for the unfit or those with bad knees. On the plus side, it was quiet, so you can catch up from any jet lag.... More
