Our arrival started inauspiciously as we were met by a timid person who explained that the owners had a medical issue and had left on a cruise...so no sailboat trip as promised on the internet, and no computer to use, and some tv issues, but the hosts who filled in were quite lovely and did their best in every way... more

We spent three nights at Nautical Nook and our ensuite room was large and spotless. Our hostess was wonderful, and despite having had a knee replacment a month earlier, took great pains (no pun intended) to ensure her guests were well catered to, cooking excellent breakfasts each morning, providing advice on what to see and do in Auckland and how... more

We stayed here on our first night in New Zealand. Our room was upstairs with an en-suite. There was room for parking off the street. Keith and Trish are wonderful hosts. The breakfast was very nice with lots of variety. We enjoyed our conversations with them and their helpful tips. more

We stayed for two nights, after our long flight from Canada. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast exceeded our expectations. So much to choose from. The best breakfast we have ever had at a bed and breakfast. We like to walk, so enjoyed a walk to Mission Beach, where Keith recommended a Fish and Chips Cafe. They... more

I agree with all the positive comments in previous reviews. We booked at short notice and although they were full for our first night of three, Keith suggested that if we wished we could sleep on his yacht. As we are sailors we jumped at the offer. We arrived at 1.30am and Keith was waiing for us, whisked us down... more

My wife and I came there with two kids, 4 and 7 years old. We chose the location mainly because it is in a quiet area, with a park and beach just over the street. It was also close to Auckland, just a bus ride away. Our hosts were very friendly, and gave us a nice introduction with lots of... more

An excellent B&B, as expected with a B&B you get a more intimate service than a hotel. This was far beyond our expectations however, with excellent bed/room and even better breakfast's. As an added bonus we also experienced a great sail, local knowledge (great restaurants etc) and so much more. Highly recommended for anyone looking for that bit more. With... more

My husband and I stayed here for our first two nights and last night of our 16 day trip to New Zealand. We discovered this B&B through Tripadvisor and were very pleased with our visit there. Trish and Keith are terrific hosts, very warm and helpful. Trish insisted on getting up to see us off and to make us coffee... more

My husband and I stayed at the Nautical Nook for 6 nights in February. After a long international flight we landed in Auckland early on Sunday morning. We had been told we could arrive anytime and so we presented ourselves at the front door around 8 am. We were greeted by Trish and whisked upstairs to enjoy a cup of... more

Fancy some free sailing - then this is the place for you whether you are an experienced yachtie or a beginner. The view of Auckland from the water is lovely especially at sunset and the company very relaxed. I had a great sail with Keith and Trish on their wellfound yacht. The B & B is well situated in Okahu... more
