We stayed here for 1 night as part of our trip around NZ. Its just beautiful, wonderful clean room over looking the vineyard, home made cookes in our room was a lovely touch. Wonderful bathroom with views again of the vineyard. We enjoyed a glass of wine with the hosts when we arrived. Great breakfast- fresh fruit, freshly squeezed juices... more

Their home is set in a vineyard with lovely gardens and orchards We had a most comfortable bedroom with stunning views out over their vineyard and orchard. Breakfast was exceptional with lovely home cooking we also had wine and nibbles with them in the... more

Stayed for two nights in the Sauvignon suite. The suite itself was lovely - modern decor and furnishings with beautiful views from the windows. My only complaint is the bathroom as it was a little bit at odds with the rest of the suite (quite dated) and the toilet wobbled a little when you sat on it! The breakfast was... more

A lovely place to spend time relaxing with only the sounds of nature to be heard. Only spent one night in the very spacious Sauvignon Suite but had the best breakfast in any B/B we stayed in over our 2 weeks in New Zealand. Friendly owners and a lovely dog to pat which made you feel like you were at... more

My DH and I stayed at the Esk Valley Lodge for our 5th Wedding anniversary. We were greeted by our lovely hosts with a bottle of bubbly for the occassion. We were also offered an "upgrade" to the Savignon Suite. It had a lovely view of the vineyards and the beautifully landscaped garden. The cooked breakfast was excellent with a... more

My wife and I stayed in the Sauvignon Suite in May, 2009. It was the finest B&B that we visited in two months in New Zealand. The views are simply amazing, overlooking a vineyard, gardens and fruit trees. The only sound is the birds chirping in the morning. Truly tranquil. The house is beautiful, quality constructed and quiet. Our suite... more

We had a wonderful time at the Esk Valley Lodge. We booked two nights in the Sauvignon Suite, which was clean, spacious and had a balcony overlooking the beautiful grounds and surrounding vineyards. Eileen was an excellent hostess. (Unfortunately, her husband, Jes, was sick during our stay, so we didn't have the opportunity to meet him.) She invited us to... more

We decided to stay at Esk Valley Lodge which is about 10 - 15 minutes from Napier because we preferred to stay in the country and the location of a B and B by a vineyard really appealed to us. Our accomodation - the sauvignon suite was very spacious and we had a balcony overlooking the garden and vineyard which... more
