The Pickled Parrot is possibly the best hostal I have ever stayed in. We were there twice and stayed in 2 of the rooms and also had a nosey into the dorms. The Pickled Parrot is a lovely backpackers hostel in a quiet area of Paihia close to the beach, harbour and bus stop. I stayed in a twin room and it was clean and comfortable enough.
