We stayed for only 3 nights at Baystay. I say only because I wish we could have stayed longer. The location was was lovely and just a short drive from Paihia. Our room, off the balcony so we had great views, was very comfortable and clean as was the en-suite. We had a TV and access to a PC. The... More

We spent 3 nights here in January 2012 and can highly recommend it. It is a beatiful house in a lovely location with super views, although the distance from Pahia makes it essential to have transport. Rob and Nick are very friendly and helpful hosts - they even did our washing! Our room was very comfortable although a little "compact"... More

We arrived on our first day in New Zealand and were greeted by one of the two friendly hosts. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the bathroom is large. Breakfast was great, if you had an early start planed they were happy to prepare a bag breakfast for the road. The view from the balcony is a... More

We spent 2 nights at the Bay Stay B&B at the end of December 2011 and although the weather failed us whilst in Paihia, Rob and Nick at the Bay Stay were incredibly friendly, informative and helped us find some other activities when our Hole in the Rock trip was cancelled. The rooms are bright and clean, with all facilities... More

I stayed at Baystay for two nights on 2nd and 3rd January 2012. It was quite simply wonderful. My son and I were made to feel right at home. The room was very comfortable and of a very high standard. The breakfast was excellent and the view of the river fantastic. Thank you for recommending and booking the Cream Tour... More

This was my first visit to New Zealand. I arrived in Auckland, and stayed there for two rather ordinary, albeit acceptable, nights' B&B before driving up to Paihia, which my daugher had told me I must visit. She was right: the Bay of Islands is indeed stunning. But what made the trip for me was Baystay B&B. Nic and Rob... More

The room was superb, the bed very comfortable and the breakfasts excellent. Nic and Rob were very friendly and have lots of local knowledge which was very helpful. The river walk from Haruru Falls to Waitangi is well worth doing, finishing up at ship come cafe just across the bridge. Good food at a reasonable price. Wendy & Ian, Oz. More

Having landed in Auckland that morning and after the 4 hour drive, our welcome at Baystay couldn't have been better. Nic and Rob made us feel right at home. Our room was super with a great view over the valley. Breakfast was excellent and the room most comfortable. We stayed three nights in October 2011 and were delighted with everything.... More
