The best part of our holiday to New Zealand was Paihia - really is an excellent base for watersports, tours and relaxing. The accommodation was really top-notch and we actually ended up staying longer than we had expected as we had some spare days and decided to do more in Paihia. more

We stayed for 5 nights in a Hillside Penthouse - great view - slightly obscured by the front apartment block (but perhaps also slightly less noise?) - minutes walk to ferry and shops and great restaurants either side.
