It was suggested by Corino Dolphin tours that I stay at this motel. I had purchased a room at Swiss Chalet but could save $50 over 2 nights if I switched to Ala-Mohana. Spent 2 nights in March 2008 at the Ala-Moana and enjoyed it very much. I had the small studio at the front facing the water and road which has a small fish pond and garden which was just perfect for relaxing. We stayed at Ala-Moana for just the one night - and both agreed that we wished we had allowed more time to stay in the area. We stayed in the little studio right at the front and we were able to sit out in the sun in the early evening drinking wine and chatting to the owner and passers by!... more

We spent 3 nights at the Ala-Moana Apartments on the esplandade at Pahia, the Bay of Islands. The owners were the most helpful people I have ever met. The Units were immaculately cleaned every day.
