We stayed at Ala Moana ther nights in january 2013 on our tour around NZ. We just wlaked in from the street and meet a really nice and friendly owner couple. The apartment was newly refurbished and nice. No luxury but relly god for its price. We had a nice veranda and wiev over the bay. Abslouly worth staying at!

English couple stayed 2 nights in December . Excellent hosts , very friendly & helpful .Room was large & very comfortable with great view. Motel is superbly placed for all shops, restaurants ,boat trips etc . great swimming beach across the road . Would definately stay here again

Nice clean motel and comfy beds, had three good nights sleep. Owners very friendly and helpful about what to do while you are there. If up there again would stay there for sure.
