Stayed for 2 nights, great position, close to most things in town, lake views and great resort feel to this hotel. Buffet breakfast was great, and included in the low price we paid. Our first room did not have internet, and when I called reception to ask about it, they quickly offered us another room wtih no fuss at all.... more

Stayed here one night and glad I moved to another hotel. Check in staff impersonal. There was quite a trek to my room and I was just pointed in the general direction. Really felt like the staff couldnt be bothered. The mini bar still had someone elses completed form (so goodness knows how often they check). Room was just a... more

Stayed here because of good reviews read on this site. It may have been refurbished but still very obviously an old hotel inside. Biggest complaint was that the large heated swimming pool was cold. Not the 29 degrees sign posted all around. They called the maintanance man but nothing changed maybe it takes a long time to heat it again.... more

the hotel is clean and not dated in design. the room had a few mosquitoes, could be because i had a room with the balcony. dinner was good. the waitress at Nikau Restaurant were very pleasant and helpful with my vegetarian requests. the big minus was the reception staff, they both greeted hotel guests with very little enthusiasm and seemed... more

We stayed for one night during our NZ trip this time (and we stayed a few years back as well) and both times had a plesant stay. Lovely big king sized beds, warm and cosy rooms, and central to all the shops and cafes located within Rotorua - and near public transport! Great place to stay. Would definately reccommend. more

A nice hotel, as it is a popular hotel for international guests the hotel is neat, clean and appeared recently refurbished. We enjoyed the big king size bed and the location as it situated right in between the city center and the Polynesian spa. It is also very close to the lake so you can go for a nice morning... more

We stayed at the Millennium in July 2009 as a mystery "Whotif" hotel. The rooms and bathroom are quite small but we had a nice lakeside view with a verandah. The pool is heated and the spa was very enjoyable. The service was extremely helpful and the cleaning staff did a very good job. more

We were overjoyed at how close the hotel is to the polynesian SPA. The hotel is quite and relaxing. The breakfast buffet was full of delicious things. The swimming-pool is heated. There is a strong smell coming from the lake (H2S if I remember my chemistry). Not sure if it was the lake, or if someone in the staff suffered... more

Quite a nice hotel, if a bit dated in some of the public areas. Lobby etc, is nicely decorated but was too cold. Bar was understaffed in the evenings meaning it was difficult to get a drink, we ended up walking out twice. However, concierge and front desk were very helpful. Room itself was tastefully decorated and warm. Nice bathroom.... more
