We stayed here for three nights in September. The location was good with easy walking to shops, restaurants and lake front. But the living areas were badly in need of refurbishment- the carpet and furnishings were old/stained, and the layout was awkward. The kitchen and laundry were good. We have just returned from our trip to New Zealand and had the misfortune of staying at the Mayfair Apartments in Rotorua. Firstly the apartment was not clean. When we arrived, we could not put our car in the "lockable garage" as it was being used as a storage facility for old rolls of carpet and various boxes. There was... more

Looking for alternative to a boring hotel room in Rotorua? Consider Mayfair apartments. Modern, luxury finish, full kitchen, two bedrooms, washer and dryer and best of all your own personal thermal spa room! It also had off street parking (small car). It is only two minutes walk from the Commonwealth Gardens, lake, and Rotorua Museum. Excellent value and highly recommended.... more
