Anne and Sandy were terrific hosts. They kept us well entertained and hosted. They were there when we wanted them, and left us to our privacy otherwise. Scrumptrulescent Breakfasts and delightful evening treats and conversation. more

We stayed at Te Ngae for two nights in the very well appointed Mokoia Suite. We wanted something with a bit of space, and this certainly gave it. We were warmly welcomed by Sandy and Anne, and on the first night were invited to join them in the main house for a glass of wine and nibbles, which was very... more

Staying at this establishment is more like being in a boarding school rather than on a romantic holiday with your partner, they are very rigid with their check in times and will simply decline your reservation should you not be able to comply with their times that they beleive you should check in. Breakfast is another example of this... strictly... more

Te Ngae Country Lodge is a little drive along Lake Rotorua from the town of Rotorua. The setting is beautiful overlooking the gardens and lake Rotorua. We had reserved the Library Room but ended up staying in the Mokoia Suite since we were the only guests for the evening. The Mokoia Suite is the cottage next to the main guest... more

My wife and I spent four nights here in October and it was probably the nicest place we stayed during our entire six week holiday to Oz and New Zealand. The hosts Anne and Sandy are extremely welcoming and happy to give advice and information on what to see and do in Rotorua, and take care of arrangements. We stayed... more

Te Ngae Lodge was our first stop for a few days and it was well worth it. Anne and Sandy were wonderful hosts to us. After traveling from overseas (UK & Aus) all we wanted to do was rest, so when we finally arrived (late) Anne and Sandy were absolutely lovely to us. The place is beautiful, clean and very... more

If you are staying in the Rotorua area, then you must consider the Te Ngae Country Lodge for your accommodation. The hosts, Anne and Sandy and just delightful and the breakfasts are just out of this world. Nothing seems too much trouble for your hosts, be it giving advice or arranging excursions and their evening drinks and nibbles are a... more

Comfortable B&B, well appointed, with care and attention to every detail by Anne and Sandy. We were invited for wine in the evening and treated to Sandy's absolutely delicious smoked trout. There's a lovely orchard to stroll through on the property. Anne and Sandy's recommendations for restaurants and local sightseeing were spot-on. more
