Stayed for one night while passing through New Plymouth. Didn't think too much of the town (functional, but not really a tourist destination), but had a very comfortable night's stay at Northgate Motor Lodge.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was well sized, with a nice tall pitched ceiling which made it feel quite spacious. The room also had a very usable kitchen area, satellite TV, and a guest directory detailing a number of other services the owners provided such as DVD player rental and a guest laundry.

Location was fine - just off a main road near the centre of New Plymouth, although my room was at the back near a residential area and was blissfully quiet. more
