My husband and I spent 2 nights at Huka Lodge at the end of a 1 month tour of New Zealand. We loved nearly all of the places we stayed and were looking forward to a truly glorious experience to cap off the trip. There were many great things about Huka, including the location, the gardens, the dining location choices,... more

It's ten minutes outside the town of Taupo and the not-to-be missed Lake Taupo and right next to the magnificent Huka Falls. Guests can enjoy the fishing, play tennis or exercise in the swimming pool. The villas are... more

As a firmly committed fan of the Huka Lodge club I have to applaud the addtion of the Alan Pye cottage to the exceptional accommodation offerred by Huka. The Lodge itself is a destination in the Michelin style. The Owner's Cottage is exceptional and our most recent stay at the Alan Pye cottage exceeded the exceptional. It is fresher that... more

We decided to spend a few days at Huka to recharge our pretty exhausted 'batteries'. It worked a charm. My partner usually takes three days to switch off but on the first day at Huka he asked if he could move in! We ate in a different private location each night - outdoors by the open fire, in the wine... more

I looked for somewhere special to take my hubby for his 40th and decided on Huka. I was somewhat anxious since there are some less than nice reviews about the place. But, from the moment we arrived, the service couldn't have been more attentive. The setting is beautiful and the cottages are just amazing. The food was absolutely 5 star... more
