For me this was the perfect place to stay, I didn't hear alot of noise. When we meet Wendy and Denis,they picked up our bags and delievered us to our home for the next 12 days,We where close to town and the lake , it was nice to take a short walk to go shopping or to catch a bite... more

This was a great place to stay in Taupo - clean and has everything you need. Our children were well catered for and my son had a lovely conversation with Denis and they were pleased with the choices of DVDs (I know holidays aren't for watching TV but we wanted to stay in for a night or two whilst here!)... more

I loved my stay here. Two reasons why: 1) The price was right -- we paid something like $80 USD for a very comfortable room that had everything we needed. 2) Lake Taupo is beautiful and this was a perfect homebase to explore it. I would highly recommend this motel -- it was simple but wonderful. more

Taupo, New Zealand boasts Catelli's of Taupo, a delightful motor inn, run by Denis and Wendy. I stayed at Catilli's for five days during the 2009 world bench press championships. I read reviews before coming and I have to set a few things straight. While it is true the rooms do not have a view of the lake, if you walk 10 feet to the front of the hotel, you can see a fabulous view of the lake - not at all far away. Also, the wi-fi loads fast enough... more
