Dennis and Wendy are always great hosts. They never complain when we change our bookings last minute and do their outmost to make our stay enjoyable. My staff and I prefer to stay at Catellis every time we are working (or on holiday) in Taupo and will continue to do so. more

We stayed here for three nights. It was close to shops, restaurants and the lake. As we turned up at the last minute only a studio room was available. However, we had everything we needed and it was very comfortable. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. This is one of the quietest hotel/motels we have stayed in. more

We had originally booked into a different hotel in Taupo but it was horrible, so went to Catelli's at the last minute. I wish we'd booked there first! Chose Catelli's as our Taupo stop-off and would completely concur with the other reviewers who guided me in this decision. Upon arrival was greeted by Wendy and Denis with a spontaneous, very large glass of wine and the warmest of conviviality. Last month we went to Taupo for the Junior Wolrd Championship of motocross. We stayed in Catelli's motel, and it was great. Rooms are cleaned every day, everything was perfect. Catelli's was clean, fresh and inviting. We stayed in one of the spacious family suits, which has a large private spa pool - perfect for relaxing after a hard day sightseeing / skiing.
