Only ever stay at TCB if you really have to. This has to be the worst hostel I have stayed in in my 8 months of travelling. We stayed there for 4 nights and I did not get a single good night's sleep. There were people constantly coming and going and shouting and making lots of noise. My travel companions had to stay on a separate floor and on their floor the fire escape signs were not lit up and none of the landing lights worked! On my floor the fire doors would not shut properly. We ventured into the kitchen once and decided never to eat there. I am not sure when it was last cleaned but the floors were horrible. This may have been a one off, as we did stay there over New Year, but only stay at this hostel if you are willing to be kept up all night listening to the coming and goings of the party animals.
To top it off, reception is due to open at 8am every morning but when we left at 8.30am it was still shut so we were not able to get out key deposit back.
