The room was clean and tidy but some of the fittings were a little tired, especially the sofa which was starting to fall apart. Tried hard to find fault but couldn't - It was excellant - - The Spa was great - .The Linen very clean- the Cooking facilities in our studio unit were perfect. No problem with the shower and bathroom. Staff welcoming and friendly - will certainly stay again next time we go through Taupo

We stayed for one night in this Motel. Whilst it was not unpleasant I could not recommend it without some caveats. The one very positive thing about the Karaka Tree is the hot pool attached to most rooms, we enjoyed this immensely even though the spa jets failed to operate, but I fear this is all the Motel trades on.... its a motel like you have hundreds and sometimes you are lucky to find a gem among them. his was it, the room was clean though and the beds were good. So if you just want to spent a night, there's not reason why you should n't pick this one.
