In the first instance its worth finding the website for this propoerty and having a look at the gallery of photos. The house is just as spectatcular as the photos show. Its one of those houses that would feature in a Homes and Gardens spread and has every conceivable convenience and gadget.

Its also right on the lake edge with uninterupted views of the Lake Taupo and mountains (but not the main mountain). The house is also built so that you can open it up to the outdoors almost entirely, or close it up but still feel like your living outside.

There was only 2 of us and we felt very comfortable, but a couple would have a ball here with the ability to have there own space when needed.

There is a downside however. The house is squeezed between the lake and the main road through Taupo. So on one side you have this spectacular view, but behind you just about every heavy truck that travels across New Zealand seems to be about 12 inches away from the bedroom wall... more
