Hazeldene is a new, purpose-built homestay lodge. It is perched on a hill high above the town of Taupo, which is a few miles drive. The rooms are large, comfortable, well-equipped with everything needed and, unlike most B&B in New Zealand, it has WiFi Internet access. Judy & Tony Pratt are the hosts, and they are very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a place on the shores of Lake Taupo, this isn't it. But if you want a modern, clean and spacious place and are willing to drive to town and the lake, we recommend Hazeldene highly. See --- for more information.
