We stayed a night at the resort because of a promotion and we satisfied with the rooms (2 double beds). We tried the swimming and spa pools at both locations; all of them need to be cleaned and/or filtered as there are insects floating in them. Otherwise it's a nice accommodation. more

We booked a KING ROOM but the size of the bed seems like a Queen than a King. Room is a bit cramped. Having said that, all the facilities are very good. Staff is freindly and helpful. Can improve on the number of food items in both restaurants. Since it's raining season, resort can "lend out" umbrella to guests. more

This hotel was further out of town than we expected, meaning a good 10-15 min drive back into Taupo. Room was nicely refurbished and of reasonable size, if a bit pokey. My hubby and I spent 3 nights while on a conference at this property.We found the room clean and comfortable, the meals were lovely and the hot pools were perfect ways to relax in the evenings.We would defintly stay again at this property. more

Quite how this place has got the ratings it's got is beyond me. Firstly don't let the 'bayview' name mislead you. There is no view of the bay to be had here. As I requested Internet service, one staff was not willing to use the service telling me all different kinds of excuses. We booked the $199 bed and breakfast for 4 family deal. The room was a "Superior Double", contained 2 Queen size beds, smallish but adequate room and bathroom, enclosed balcony.
