What you are really paying for here is the mineral pool. My husband and I went away to Taupo for the night to unwind. I have been staying at the Lakefront Motor Lodge for many years while on my business travels. Ken and Kumiko are simply wonderful hosts. Very accomodating helpful and friendly. They take their business seriously and pride themselves upon making every visit to Taupo memorable. Our arrival at the motel was rather late and after regular office hours. The moteliers however, welcomed us warmly and communicated clearly how and where we would be able to check in should the office already be closed. We had a wonderful view of the lake and distant mountains, the spa pool was very soothing. The facilities are kept immaculate and clean, very comfortable. Friendly and helpful service, and loved the outside pool,will stay there again. more
