Stayed only for two nights, but really enjoyed our stay. Ruth and Chris gave us a warm welcome and were extremely nice hosts. They helped us decide where to go, what to see, where to eat, they even helped us to get our laundry washed. And always with a smile. Highly recommended! more

A beautifully and sympathetically renovated 1920s house with well furnished and comfortable rooms (though a shared bathroom - no en-suite). The house is well located, just a few minutes walk from the very groovy Cuba St., Te Papa museum and the city centre. There is a comfortable lounge, books to read, and tea and coffee (and biscuits) to consume. Ruth... more

Good location and very friendly and helpful staff. Nice rooms and an excellent breakfast. Parking is a little tough, but the staff helped us find a good spot nearby. Would definitely recommend. more

We stayed in this B&B for two nights. Walking distance from Te Papa museum (15 minutes) and from a number of nice restaurants. On-street parking (coupon parking) was easily sorted out as the host has a stock of coupons that you can buy (NZ$ 5 per day). Quiet atmosphere; nice music for breakfast. Attentive host. We had a very enjoyable stay with our hosts at the Brick House and were welcomed as if we were family. A lovely breakfast was ready for us each morning and the hosts were very helpful answering any questions we had. The location was excellent and we would highly recommend a stay here for its value, friendliness and location. more

The hosts warmly welcomed us to a lovely old house with modern conveniences. Location was excellent with a five minute walk to restaurants and next door to a bus stop. Rooms were clean and tidy and the lounge overlooks the city and harbour. Parking is free from 4pm -10am check for other times. more

Great location for me as I was attending a course at Massey University. Lovely Hosts & devine breakfasts. Comfy though small room, very comfortable bed. I would have prefered to have had a TV in my room as after listening to lectures all day it's nice to zone out for a bit, though probably not important to most people. more

Thanks very much for your helpful feedback. A couple of people have said they thought a TV would have been good in the Double room, so we're happy to say - we've installed one. Both bedrooms now have a TV.

The rooms are nice and Ruth and Chris are always there to help you with whatever you need. The breakfast is really good, fresh food, served in a lovely room. It is more expensive than most other B&B´s I´ve stayed at but you get a great time for that. We definitely enjoyed our stay there. more

The friendliness and service was excellent. Nothing was too much effor and went out of their way to accommodate me in relation to breakfast and evening meals. The room was tastefully decorated and was furnished with some beautiful era furniture. Bed was comfy. Everything was supplied.. more
