The lovely house is located on the hill at exclusive Oriental Bay. It's a wonderful footpath down the hill and along the beach to the city. The rooms are very clean and of great style. The breakfast is fresh and made with love. The perfect service helped us to have a fantastic time in Wellington. Thank you.

I often stay in Wellington, and the Carlton Gore is a lovely home away from home. The B & B is fabulous and the hosts are amaing, they make you feel very welcome without being intrusive. Look forward to my next stay - Love the Carton Gore!.

Lovely old Victorian house set up the hill, but we did not have a view as we were on the ground floor ... nice courtyard. Almost too short a visit to give a good review, because we arrived late in the afternoon and had to leave almost before dawn to catch the morning ferry, so no review possible of breakfast... Comfortable beds, beautifully located (save some energy for the last climb before arriving!). 1 small remark: rattling door because of draft.

Within walking distance to town down a steep walkway and then along Oriental Bay Drive and for the less energetic a bus service stops around the corner. we spent 2 nights in this lovely b&b up one of the wellington hills. the room is big, bathroom outside in the corridor but enormous and confortable! it was a little cold though... so we stole one of the small heaters from the common rooms. breakfast was great, also thanks to the lovely panorama from the living room upstairs. nice... A pretty twenty minute walk round oriental bay leads up to this beautiful B and B. Comfy cosy rooms with tasteful decor and views over the harbour. Would recommend to others and will be back I'm sure!

I stayed at the Carlton Gore Bed and Breakfast for four nights. Janice upgraded me to the nice view room with a wonderful ocean and Wellington skyline view. I loved the breakfast and my hosts were very helpful and welcoming.
