People are very friendly here. Our request for a quiet room was followed very well. You are greeted by friendly faces everywhere. Noise and cleanliness are my main concerns when choosing a hotel. The Holiday Inn did well in both categories. Not exceptionally well, though. There were some sticky spots on the towel racks in the bathroom. Also: I do... more

Have stayed at this hotel a few times over the last couple of months. The hotel is relatively new, starting to look tired and seems to be staffed by young and inexperienced staff. Room servicing is hit and miss - twice there has been no toilet paper in the bathroom - eventually located in the kitchenette cupboard. Towels are in... more

Thank you so much for your feedback, the additional back up toilet roll is located in the cupboard under in the room's kitchenette - under the sink (not so easy to locate?) - and we do provide any additional amenity requests 24 hours a day for our 280 rooms and suites - from lavendar pillows to bath robes, extra towels...

We stayed on the 14th Floor and had fantastic views over the harbour. Staff were very helpful when we arrived there was a blackout, and the staff were very accomodating and apologetic. The valet parking is definitely a minus as it is too expensive $30.00 per night (on internet quote is $25.00). Found parking in the street (as we were... more

Thank you for the great review of our harbour views rooms. Your tip to travellers to park nearby the hotel for free is good advice - although our valet parking is convenient and guests have the security of knowing their car is in an undercover park and no worries about feeding meters or shifting when the free time expires early...

I was dreading staying here as Holiday Inns are so so. However, I was surprised, the room was large with a small kitchen, the bathroom had a bath you could lie down in. The common areas were clean and the staff friendly. There is a good supermarket in the railway station which is close by, as well as a good... more

We stayed at the Wellington for 3 nights & booked an executive suite on the 15th floor. While the hotel is nice, there are a few things that are an annoyance: - Parking: The hotel has parking, it is valet only costing you an additional $30/day. The hotel could change this, but chooses not to as its additional revenue. -... more

Thanks for your great review. As a tip for travellers during holiday time, there is plenty of parking in nearby streets and the option of our $30 a night secure undercover valet parking is always there for those that want the convenience and peace of mind. For the the best value rates, we always recommend our lowest rate guarantee on...

I chose the Holiday Inn Wellington after reading the positive TripAdvisor reviews, and was not disappointed. Our standard room wasn't large, but it was very comfortable, with a bath and kitchenette. We were on a corner, with floor to ceiling windows on two sides. This made the room feel more spacious than it was, and gave us an interesting view... more

We got a room with the view of the harbor which was really nice. The room itself was nicely decorated and the bathroom was clean, as well. It was unexpected that the room has a kitchenette, however as we were in Wellington we decided to eat out everyday to enjoy the city's atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful. A... more

Nice as in new and reasonably convenient, 'rough edges' in terms of quietness. If you are looking to be close to the 'party-end' of town (Courtenay Place), then best book somewhere else. Being at the opposite end of party-central and at the CBD end of town, there isn't a night life. If you are frugal with parking costs, this may... more
