I booked this motor lodge primarily because it was close by where my mother lives in Wellington. With two adults and two tall teenagers, there wasn't room to stay at her house. We stayed one night at the Johnsonville Motor Lodge prior to catching the Interislander ferry from Wellington to Picton. I booked directly with the motel and paid NZ $169 for one night's stay (This was for three adults, each requiring their own bed).
