We spent two days in Argrove Lodge. The lodge is situated in a large beautiful garden with lots of acapanthhus reminding us of Bretagne(Brittany). The availability of bikes is very suitable for touring the wineries, the area is flat so biking is easy! The wine: sauvignon blanc is familiar to Pouilly Fume and Sancerre - a fine cousin. A good... It is a great place for bike and wine tours. Nigel and Helen know everything about the winejards and the best places for lunch! The day starts with a lovely breakfast with a great view. You do not need to ride your bike very far to have a nice day in the wineries. You should have a car to get... More

What a fantastic place. My husband did the Grape Ride and we stayed there for 2 nights. We were met at the door by a very welcoming Helen and shown round their beautiful home. Helen & Nigel are very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. We had a bedroom upstairs and slept with the curtains open because the stars... More

Argrove is a small B&B with only 3 guest rooms. Nigel and Helen are the hosts and gave us a warm welcome upon our arrival. You will want to have a car as the Inn is located a short drive outside of Blenheim and is surrounded by vineyards. Nigel and Helen were very helpful with recommendations for restaurants, places to... More

This is a beautiful house and the rooms are spotless and very well presented. Helen tends to deal with the B&B and Nigel handles the wine tasting bike rides, which we also did. Nothing was too much trouble and we were welcomed with a much needed cuppa! The bed was very large (king I think) and the room was air... More

We stayed at the lodge for two nights in January 2012, and we had an amazing time. Helen and Nigel could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We also did the Wine Tours by Bike, which was one of the highlights of our trip to NZ. We were only sorry we could cycle for just one day, as there... More

We stayed at the Argrove Lodge for two nights in February 2012 and had a wonderful time. We found this B & B because we heard of the Wine Tours by Bike activity (very fun – we highly recommend) in Lonely Planet and decided to stay at the Argrove which is on the same property as Wine Tours by Bike.... Helen and Nigel are extremely accomodating. Their place was immaculate . The breakfast was everything you needed including freshly made pastry. The location is perfect for wine tasting and biking to the wineries. They were very helpful when when we were muddy and wet and washed and dried our clothes. We offered to share a bottle of wine with them... More

We spent 3 nights here as a group so booked out all 3 rooms. I found Helen very helpful prior to our arrival & very welcoming & accommodating during our stay. The rooms were immaculately clean & organized. We felt in that price range & from previous places we should have been offered a cooked breakfast & more variety over... More

We stayed for two nights as part of our honeymoon. Bedroom and bathroom were spotless, as was the rest of the guest area. Breakfast was basic but tasty. Ideal location to tour the wineries by bike (we used Nigel & Helen's company) but taxis into Blenheim seemed pricey compared to the costs we're used to in London. Helen was on... More
