I disagree with the prior poster about the "rigidity" of Argrove Lodge. I don't feel that it is unreasonable to ask guests when they want breakfast. We checked out all the beautiful gardens at the Lodge and definitely walked on the lawn...no one said a word to us. We had a great stay in Blenheim and Argrove Lodge was a... More

Bed & Breakfasts are highly influenced by the personalities of their proprietors. Argrove is no exception. Others who reviewed this place clearly found a match between their own personality and the vibe and character of Argrove. Ours wasn’t a perfect match and we want to offer our perspective for others seeking accommodation in Blenheim. We found staying at Argrove to... More

Thank you very much for providing us with your feedback., We are surprised and sorry to hear that you felt your experience with us was somewhat ‘rigid’ and you had to abide by “our rules”. We aim to provide a relaxing and enjoyable environment for all of our guests and were not aware we had any rules and if we... More

Our main reason for visiting Blenheim was to do a wine tour of the area by bicycle. Nigel runs a great bike hire business from the back of their home and if you stay with them at the lodge then the bike hire is included in the price. The cost of the rooms were a little high but with the... More

My husband and I were on a three week trip and stayed at Helen and Nigels home. It was a wonderful experience, with great amenities. We felt like we were part of their family. Our room was beautiful with it's own patio. They were most helpful with getting around Blenheim and we also took their bikes out as we visited... More

Nigel and Helen were the loveliest hosts, and provided a wonderful experience at Argrove Lodge. My friend and I stayed two nights and truly enjoyed it. The room was darling and spotless. Helen was very attentive and responsive to anything we wanted. Nigel sent us off on a great bike tour of the wine region, and even came to exchange... More

Our experience is very much a mirror of other reviews. My wife and I stayed at Argrove Lodge for two nights during the recent Rugby World Cup. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Helen is a wonderful host and nothing is too much trouble for her guests. Helen recommended places for dinner and even assisted with the booking and arranging a... More

Stayed at Argrove Lodge for two nights during our NZ trip as an escape from the Rugby and our camper van (Sep-11). Room was comfortable, spotlessly clean and had everything we possibly needed including electric blankets which were welcome on the chilly spring nights. The room opened out on to a terrace, unfortunately not quite warm enough for us to... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in April 2011 during a whirlwind tour of NZ. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our hosts were amazing. Helen's breakfasts were delicious and she was more than willing to provide us with whatever we needed. She even made our dinner reservations for us. Nigel was a wealth of knowledge and... More

Enjoyed my time at this bed and breakfast, a great spot in the vineyards with fabulous views. Friendly hosts even had bikes for touring the wineries. Great place to relax. Highly recommended. More
