A modern-looking hotel with clean & spacious room, that is centrally situated in the city, near shops & eateries. Generally a great stay except there wasn't free parking. more

Well equipped room for the price and located in the heart of town without being noisy. I've stayed here before and wasn't disappointed this time. Still feel that the bar next to reception is a waste of an opportunity to do something much much better. Again as before, staff very friendly and helpful. more

Stayed in one of the apartments on the 13th floor and the lift only goes to the 12th floor. Having to carry young children up these stairs was the start of a bad experience of this hotel. Charging us extra for cleaning costs when our son was sick even though bedding cleaning costs should be included in the hotel price.... more

Stayed at the Holiday Inn City Centre in Christchurch for one night in August 2009. Booked the hotel through Qantas Ready Rooms and paid NZD $135 which was fair value for a Holiday Inn. stayed here for two nights, booked on expedia was only around $80NZ so I was happy. I asked for a room with a view and they sure gave me one...they gave us this room on the 'executive floor' with floor to ceiling windows giving 180 degree views of christchurch. furthermore, they organized a shuttle for us etc. very friendly staff.... more

I have rated this hotel quite highly because of the extremely good rate and fact that they had two doubles in one room which was very suited to us (two adults and an 11 year old), also the great location and views.
