Stayed in a 6-bed dorm, with ensuite for one night. Its location at the south end of Manchester St. is great for nightlife, right across the street is Als bar, one of the best music venues in ChCh. There is (limited) off street parking behind the place, which is good since Manchester St can be a bit dodgy at night (kind of red light district) - if you cannot stand that, book another place, but as said there are many fun places here too! The service was great, and had no problem booking over the phone the same day a Friday night. The dorm was small and the bathroom was really due for renovation, but the place seemed to attract a good clientele. Beds (std bunks) were already made and clean. Also the adjacent bar was excellent. Nothing fancy, but cheap and cheerful. more
