This was the first of fifteen B&Bs/Motels during our one month touring holiday around New Zealand in 2008. The on-line booking system was logically presented and quick in use, detailing room options and availability, together with email reservation confirmation. Subsequent emails to the Motel were answered quickly and in a friendly manner.

The Milano was chosen for its location away from the city centre, but easily accessible by bus or taxi, and was only a short walking distance from Merrivale with its restaurants and local shops. The twenty minute or so taxi journey from Christchurch Airport during evening rush hour was NZ$40.

We opted for a First floor Executive One bedroom unit with King size bed. The excellent en suite bathroom with its double spa bath/shower was a real pleasure to use after a long flight from Hong Kong.
