We stayed here for a couple of nights as part of a New Zealand tour with Titan. On arrival in Dunedin we were given an orientation tour which left us with no enthusiasm for the run-down town at all. Parallels with Edinburgh were solely through street names and imitation monuments - not through atmosphere at all. However we spent our... more

I have stayed at The Southern Cross many times and must say the refurbished rooms are great. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept in and they have nice feather pillows. The receptionist in training was lovely and a nice welcoming smile. The other plus is the hotel is in the heart of Dunedin so only a few... more
