Beautiful late Victorian house. Stephen's attention to detail was high and he and Fienie were very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and home made bread! It was a steep 10 min walk up from the town but on a regular bus route.

Stayed here for one night and liked the cosy and big rooms. Great view from the room. They even had a hair dryer and some other little things. Hosts were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was great and the the B&B is located very close to the town center. Everything is in walking distance. Parking place along the road. Great... More

We stayed there over christmas. the room and the shared bathroom were clean, steve and fienie were nice and breakfast was okay too. nothing to complain about. just the price wasnt that cheap, but i think its really difficult to find a nice and cheap accomodation in new zealand. if you go to dunedin, you can stay in highbrae guesthouse,... We spent two nights in Queen Room. We both enjoyed the great view from this room very much. The breakfast was great with plenty of choices of cereal and spread. Steve has provided a lot of information for us which is very useful. Though the location is not directly in downtown area, in a lovely city like Dunedin, a bit... More

The view from the queen bedroom was amazing, with full views over the city and harbor. While a bit of a walk from the center of the city, the location is fantastic for a good night's sleep. And the home-made bread at breakfast was a real treat.

Our room was very spacious with a great view of the city and harbor. The hosts were helpful and welcoming, giving us a splendid tour of the city. We would stay here should we ever return to this lovely place. We highly enjoyed our stay with Steve and Finney and they took us to the rental car and train station.

This B&B is located close to the city centre. Its a easy walk down the hill, but being Dunedin, a stiff walk back up the hill! , we had the room at the front with a good view especially at night over the city, the room was excellent, very comportable double bed, excellent shower and bathroom adjacent to the bedroom... We had the self-contained room which had a big bedroom space, ensuite bathroom, kitchen and dining table area, which was ideal for our 4 night stay over the New Year period. We could easily eat in, or get into Dunedin city centre for restaurants. Rooms were comfortable (maybe a tad old fashioned) but were fine and good value for money.... More

My boyfriend and I stayed with Steven and Fiennie for 3 nights in early Jan. We were only planning on staying for 2 nights, however we liked it so much we stayed another night. Lovely house with an amazing view from our bedroom of the city, a home away from home. Very central with only a walk down the street... More

I really enjoyed our time at Highbrae Guesthouse. The room was very nice. The breakfast was really nice- nice breakfast room, nice ambiance, tea and food. An example of the hosts' kindness-my friend sprained her ankle and our hosts drove us to the attraction we were planning to visit. They had a lot of information about Dunedin and were fun... More
