We stayed at this hotel for one night and that was enough for me really. The rooms were bland and uninteresting and although they were a good size it just felt like only a small step up from a Travel Inn... The bed was pretty big which was great but the bathroom was very basic and only had a shower... more

We booked Scenic Circle Dunedin as part of our NZ trip to chill after our Queenstown part. Some friends had told us they loved Dunedin - Why - I have no idea to this day. The room was very large with heaps of space. We were up on one of the top floors. View from the windows was very good.... more

Stayed for two nights in March in room 710. The room was very spacious, good storage for luggage, excellent location, harbour views (mind, you have to stand up to look out of the window) and a really great breakfast. The breakfast was $11.00 for any two eggs and included juice, coffee and toast. A really good deal plus perfectly cooked... more

DH and I stayed here for three nights, and found it to be a very good, clean and efficient hotel. It is right next to The Octagon in Dunedin and is ideally placed to see the city. I was not at all well when we arrived and we were helped very quickly, which was welcome. The room service menu was... more

I stayed at this hotel over Dec 16 and 17, 2007. I concur with the other reviewers who praised this hotel. I was very satisfied with my stay there. The room (on 4th floor) was very spacious and large, with good quality bedding, bath and other fixtures. The staff were polite and check-in/out was efficient and fast. The hotel is... more

Booked a Harbour View queen room. The room was very comfortable, but the view from our 5th floor was more of rooftops than the harbour. If you want a view, I suggest your request a room on the 6th floor or higher. more

We stayed here for one night and it was really easy to find and convenient for the city centre. The rooms were large but the whole place felt more like a hotel for business-people than tourists. We ate in the hotel bar, which was good value although a limited range. This was the only accomodation during our holiday where there... more

The room had a view but you had to be standing up looking out of the window. Finding out that it used to be the old Tax department building explained that one. Large room and adequate. Unattractive from the outside but in a great position for restuarants and the CBD. Good designer clothes shops and cafes nearby. One Day in... more

Great place to stay. Really big rooms with nice ensuite. Felt very clean. Like others our breakfast was included in rate and was well worth it , nice fresh food. They provided a portacot and the cutest bedding package with it. Only prob was that we were charged for the room twice and didn't realise, however this was fixed as... more

Four of us had 2 rooms at this hotel for one night in February 2007. Good city centre location, although Dunedin not very exciting. Comfortable large rooms, well equipped, clean, and excellent en suites. Deal included excellent continental breakfast, and you could have scarfed a full breakfast without the staff realising! Good helpful staff, who will also park you car.... more
