Good location - a 15 minute walk to the Octagon. The rooms are a bit dated but clean and quite spacious if you are in a spa room. Staff were friendly and helpful. A bit of outstanding maintenance - there were four light bulbs out in the living area which weren't replaced during our three nights.

We stayed at the Amross based on a pleasant visit there on a previous visit to Dunedin. It appears that the motel has changed owners or managers, and it showed! This was my second trip to Dunedin and Amross motel. Very convenient to everywhere in Dunedin and Otago. Restaurants, shopping and Octagon were just a short walk. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Would recommed this as a nice Motel/Hotel to stay in while in Dunedin. We thought it was quite nice, quiet area, but still nice, accessible walk to town, perhaps 10-15 minute walk, if that long.

Spotless, large rooms. Bedroom, open plan lounge/dining area with kitchenette, large shower and separate toilet. Lounge had two armchairs and a sofa. TV's in lounge and bedroom. Absolutely everything necessary for a comfortable stay supplied. Bed was a little harder than we are used to only criticism.
