We stayed here for 2 nights in January. I have mixed feelings about this place. It is both charming and run down and depressing. We had inspected a number of other motels in the area, all of which were newer, nicer and ultimately not much more expensive than this one. However, the selling point was of this one was that it offered two bedrooms and a living area. It also had a lovely garden with a climbing frame. We were shown a huge upstairs flat for $140 which was recently renovated but was very hot, directly on the very busy street and involved going up 2 flights of very ricketty stairs. The one we chose was not renovated but was on ground level and at the back of the building. The manager said that this one was $165 per night but $15 for each child. I was rendered speechless and my husband burst out laughing. She reduced the cost to $140. On the plus side it had a full ktichen and electric blankets.
