We had booked this motel to be near the town centre and indeed it was an easy, flat walk to eating establishments. The room size was the best we experienced during our 10-day holiday in New Zealand - all the necessary comforts plus plenty of size. The hosts were a delight - even providing us on departure with an off-the-highway... more

Husband had a stroke while in Queenstown and was transferred to Invercargill for two weeks. Hospital found vacancy at Birchwood Manor for me during Invercargill's busiest season. Owners looked out for me in spite of "full house". Prior reservations made it necessary to move twice in two weeks but owners took care of that. They also made their office computer... more
