Stayed here twice while traveling the South Island. On first arrival, we were able to check in early. Room was NZ$99. off-season rates. Could have paid $20-30 more for a view of the mountains. Whilst travelling around New Zealand I had the fortune of stumbling across the lomond lodge motel, the staff couldn't do enough to help me, I stayed in one of their lake view rooms and thought the price was amazing for such a beautiful view. I had no problems at all while there, I can only assume the water pressure thing... more

Great value, and very nice location. Only a short walk to the gondola ride up the mountain, and a short walk to downtown QT. Quiet location, and a real nice courtyard. Staff was very friendly and courteous. more

Despite it's excellent location just a couple of minute's walk from the centre of town we were a little disappointed with the aesthetics of the accommodation at Lomond Lodge...it just didn't look quite a nice as it had in the photographs. That said, we had plenty of room and the accommodation was well equipped with kitchen facilities and shared laundry. more
