We were lucky to get a room facing the lake and mountain ranges. This was definitely the highlight of our stay in NZ- to wake up to such a spectacular outlook. Unfortunately when you first walk in, you don't notice the room was tired, timber worn on furniture, water damaged ceiling, and not much ventiliation (we had to leave the... More

Superb unobstructed lake view! Comparing with other hotels, Mercure's price is more reasonable as it is located further away from the hustle and bustle of Queenstown's city centre. Not a problem for us as we self-drove around NZ for our 14 days vacation. We stayed in the deluxe room, it was super spacious and newly refurbished (so it was clean... More

A most enjoyable stay. All staff members were very freindly and helpfull. Front of desk excelent, bar staff very efficent. Dinning room staff top quality, Lovely people. Rooms were very good, well appointed .Only problem was a little too far out of town. But that had benifits as well. Top quality food. Thankyou. More

Great price for fantastic lake view rooms. Reasonable distance from the city center. Quite and peaceful. Will come back and stay. Just a bit hot in summer, as no air-condition. More

Spectacular view with friendly and accomodating staff. Truely felt the hotel had everything to offer one could ask for or expect. Only down factor would be the location, a little ways from downtown and all the action, and up a hill. Leisure activities accomodate for pick-up and drop-off at outer location along with local bus service. More

At the Mercure we had a lovely modern, large room that contained two queen sized beds, a hair dryer, a nice flat screen TV, fridge, kettle/te&coffee and spectacular views over the lake. These views must seriously challenge Canada or Switzerland for their beauty. The resort is a little way out of town and probably a little too far for most... More
