Alex has meticulously cared for this chalet. The gardens are nice, brekkie delicious, and the two dogs very friendly. The reception area is chic and tastefully decorated. The rooms very comfy, beds amazing, and the views of the lake and Remarkables gorgeous. Personal attention by Alex was most welcomed and his advice was appreciated. This hidden gem is beautifully maintained... more

My wife and I spent three weeks travelling around the North and South Islands and this place was one of the best we stayed in. We loved everything about it - the friendly welcome, cool decor, extremely comfy bed, delicious breakfast and very handy location. Compared to some of the places we stayed in the North Island, it was good... more

We had 4 days in Queenstown and selected the "Chalet Queenstown b&b" for our stay based on recommendations. It is not the cheapest of accommodations available, but we found the b&b to be wonderful. Everything is spotless and nothing was too much trouble for our wonderful host Alex. The continental breakfasts were lovely and set us up for our days... more

The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable! While on the smaller side, the rooms were tastefully decorated and well appointed. There was a nice view from our window as well as from the balcony. The breakfast was tasty with good variety. The hosts were friendly and helpful without being overbearing. more

We had a lovely few days at Chalet Queenstown - a Swiss-style building with a modern, immaculately decorated and presented interior. Alex is a wonderful host - welcoming, friendly and full of advice, but also discrete and respectful of his guests' space. The location is a 5 minute walk from the centre of Queenstown and our bright room had a... more

the chalet queenstown is a nice little place to stay. alex was wonderful in helping us arrange activities. breakfast was very tasty. only downsides were that its a little pricey (compared to our other stays around the south island), but this is expected in Queenstown i guess and that the shower/bathroom was a little cramped. more

I absolutely enjoyed my time in Queenstown, and a major factor in that was my stay at Chalet Queenstown. Matt was a fantastic host, willingly making arrangements for various activities (LOTR 4WD tour, skiing, jetboat riding, dining) and took care of every request, and also made customized breakfast for the guests. The rooms were well appointed, clean, and comfortable, and... more
