We stayed here for 3 nights after switching from a Queenstown Boutique Hotel where we were right on the street and could not sleep. This hotel was the perfect refuge. Very quiet, very modern with great views of the city. The staff was incredibly nice the whole time to us. They have a tv in the bathroom and a touch... more

Really lovely hotel with beautiful rooms. We were confused by the constant greetings of 'Bonjour' though from a hotel in New Zealand. Maori 'Kia Ora' I would have though made more sense if English doesn't suffice. The day spa is amazing - the steam room is awesome. Our experience of the on site restuarant was pretty poor and the tables... more

What can I say about a Sofitel? The service is outstanding (if a little in-your-face), the rooms are impeccable (under-the-floor heating in the bathroom!), and the location couldn't have been better. Staying at the Sofitel puts you in the heart of Queenstown, within a 10 minute to anything you might want to see or do. The rooms are extremely spacious... more

First let me say that this hotel is not about the views so if you want those gorgeous lake views, be careful of your room choice. Our room Mountain View basically looked out to a nearby back street with a small view of mountain. But if you want an impressive hotel with service that is outstanding, excellent food and great... more

We just spent the past 5 days at this hotel and you would be hard pressed to fault it. We have stayed in some of the most amazing hotel worldwide ranging from the Burj in Dubai to the Oberio's in India and as an all round hotel it was simply fantastic. We checked in and were given 4 x 4... more

We stayed at the Sofitel for three nights. We got a great deal through our Advantage Plus membership so not sure how expensive it is normally. Our room was absolutely gorgeous, big, cozy and with a fantastic bathroom. There was even a TV above the spa bath much to my boyfriends delight. The shower was fantastic especially after a hard... more

I stayed here for three nights and the hotel is absolutely beautiful. The room was stunning with a very modern bathroom complete with jacuzzi bath and seperate shower and Roger & Gallet toiletries and the ever so comfortable sofitel bed. The room also came with a expresso coffee machine which was a nice touch. The lobby and entrance is very... more

The location was very convenient and the rooms are really nice. The bathroom was my favourite. But one cant get everything.. there was no view from the hotel room. So you need to pick what you are more interested in.. more

We stayed at the Sofitel, Queenstown during our honeymoon in Dec 08. This hotel was simply great. The rooms, lobby, spa and the service everything was tooo good. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everybody who has a penchant for luxury and doesn't mind spending the extra money. We booked all our activities in Queenstown through the concierge who... more
