I stayed at the Glenorchy Hotel for one night. My room was clean and functional and was a good base for accessing the Routeburn track. You might want to consider other accomodation if you are looking for any of the modern conveniences. The decor is dated, there are no tv's or hairdryers etc in the rooms and I found the bed hard. By comparison to hotels in city areas this hotel was expensive, but there's not that much choice in Glenorchy. If I was going again, I'd look for other options, but the Glenorchy hotel was ok for one night. more
