We stayed at Peppers Beacon for 4 nights in early January, in a hotel room on the 8th floor. The view was a partial one of the lake looking between two other hotel rooms, but as the window was quite small and set back from the other rooms, our room was very dark. There was no sofa in the living... more

We stayed here for two nights, but not consecutively.. Our first room was a standard lake view, it had a small porch with a nice view, a sitting room, and a comfortable bedroom. The location was ideal for walking into town, probably about 5 minutes to the heart of town, so you didn't feel like you were far from anything,... more

We had decided to stay in this hotel over others as I had read the review on this site. We thought Queenstown was fantastic, and they were nice at the hotel. However, the first room they put us in had no view, and smelled like milldew/smoke. We had to move rooms (after travelling 30 hours this was not ideal), but... more

It is hard not to rate this hotel Excellent for the stunning views of the lake an mountains in Queenstown. We stayed here in a three bed apartment with 5 adults, excellent apartments with quality fit out and furnishings. Each room had its own bathroom, washer dryer and there is a full kitchen lounge and dining. A large balcony looks... more

The apartment accommodation at Peppers Beacon was our holiday ‘treat’. We paid almost NZD1,000 for two nights in a 2 bedroom, lake view suite for the two of us and booked directly with Peppers (handled very efficiently). On arrival we easily located Peppers minutes from ‘downtown’ Queenstown. There was nowhere to park on the busy lakefront road at the front... more

After checking out several reviews in TripAdvisor we settled on Peppers Beacon because it was supposed to be close to town and have a great view of the lake. We planned to stay only a couple of nights but after our first night there we extended our visit two extra nights. My wife and I (from US) were traveling with... more

The Lakefront location is perfect and the apartments are absolutely luxurious- with great views; granite kitchen; open fire; luxury bathrooms. But when I booked I had spoken to the hotel and booked an apartment on the 8 or 9th floor- as I knew the views were far better and the apartments have a much bigger terrace . On arrival we... more

From the moment we walked through the front door to the moment we left, we found everything about our stay at Peppers Beacon to be fantastic. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful as were all of the staff we encountered. Our 2 bedroom lakeview room was even better than we had expected, Absolutely stunning views that we never tired... more

This hotel is set in a scenic location by Lake Wakatipu. Unfortunately, its inadequate service, rude managerial staff, inadequade ammenities and miniature rooms make this hotel one to avoid. My husband and I stayed here for seven nights during our honeymoon. The bad experiences began as soon as we tried to check in, as we were told they did not... more

We stayed in Queenstown while on a one week ski trip. The great location of this hotel on the shoreline of Lake Wakatipu is just the start. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment, which was extremely spacious, with a large living area and balcony, two bathrooms (one of which was an en suite) and a full size kitchen. The... more
